Key Holder

POSITION PURPOSE
As a Key Holder you will keep the daily operations of an organization flow smoothly. The Key Holder reports to the Store Manager/Assistant Store Manager and is responsible for ensuring the management team’s direction is executed at all times within the store. The Key Holder is responsible for ensuring Sales Associates’ attendance, productivity, and morale. The Key Holder provides support, direction and assistance to his/her team on all areas of their assigned duties. This role helps to motivate and inspire his/her team to work efficiently. The Key Holder will also monitor Sales Associates to ensure they maintain a friendly and helpful attitude toward customers. Key Holders will not be responsible for establishing any store policies or evaluating employees’ performance through written documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND
• Minimum of 1+ year of retail sales experience
• Minimum of 1+ year of acting retail leadership/management experience that allowed you the opportunity to lead aspects of the business and develop team members 
• Specialty retail preferred

• Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities

• Ability to appropriately deal with store teams and customers
• Excellent analytical skills, effective time management and prioritizing skills
• Functional digital literacy including POS and intranet
• Has resilience in an ever changing environment, be assertive, drive results, prioritize and consistently make good decisions
• Takes initiative and is assertive
• Has a professional presence and motivates and inspires others
• Supports a great customer experience by being fun, friendly, and knowledgeable of Cotton On Kids product
• Always act in a respectful manner to customers, managers and peers

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Must be physically capable of walking and standing for long periods on surfaces not necessarily friendly to the legs and back
• Must have the ability to lift, carry, push, pull up to a minimum of 30 pounds
• Aside from general housekeeping, placing tags and product on the lowest and highest shelves will require a minimum level of flexibility in order to comfortably squat and kneel as required
• Tasks involved with operating cash registers, computers, inventory scanning devices and even writing things down requires a decent level of dexterity. Hand-eye coordination as well as freedom from excessive arthritic pain are essential in performing everyday tasks in retail
